Anagha Pradeep, 4th year Ph.D working under the supervision of  Prof. Radhika Mamidi presented a paper on Towards Building a Computational Sense Inventory from the Monier-Williams Dictionary Using Clustering Techniques at the 8th International Sanskrit Computational Linguistics Symposium (ISCLS-2026) held at IIT Roorkee from 9 – 11 March. Here is the summary of the paper as explained by the authors Anagha Pradeep, Dr. Sriram Krishnan and Prof. Radhika Mamidi:

Our work addresses the lack of structured Sanskrit sense inventories by leveraging the Monier-Williams Sanskrit–English dictionary and applying clustering techniques to group semantically related senses, reducing ambiguity and reorganizing the dictionary to better capture polysemy and synonymy. The goal is to transform a human-oriented lexical resource into a machine-actionable sense inventory for computational use.
