College life can often become loud, rushed, and overwhelming. With packed schedules, deadlines, and constant pressure, taking time to slow down is rarely prioritised.
That was exactly why Beats and Bites was brought back — a small, low-effort, feel-good space created by students, for students, faculty, and staff, where everyone could simply be present, relax, and reconnect with simple joys.
Held on 4 February at the OBH D-Block Courtyard, Beats and Bites offered a refreshing, no-pressure break from routine. Participants gathered with friends, enjoyed snacks, listened to live music, played board games, or simply sat back and unwound. With no performances to perfect and no skills required, the event fostered a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone felt at home.
In the coming weeks, the initiative will continue with simple, fun activities such as painting, potting, dance, book reading, and more, creating many more opportunities to pause, connect, and recharge.
