IIIT Hyderabad marked the 77th Republic Day on 26 January at the Football Grounds with great patriotic fervour and a vibrant sense of community. The celebrations began with a warm welcome address by student representatives, followed by a disciplined march past by students and security personnel. Prof. Sandeep K. Shukla hoisted the national flag, after which the gathering joined in the national anthem.

The formal programme featured addresses by the Director and the Registrar, alongside speeches by the General Secretary and Speaker of the Student Parliament, and an address by the Dean of Student Affairs. A special segment commemorating 150 years of “Vande Mataram” added a reflective and inspiring dimension to the event.

Cultural performances by IIITH student clubs, the Cultural Council, and children of faculty and staff added colour and energy to the celebrations. The programme concluded with the distribution of refreshments to all attendees.

Following the Republic Day programme, the NSS–IIIT Hyderabad Blood Donation Drive, organised in association with Osmania Medical Blood Bank, was held, underscoring the institute’s commitment to social responsibility and community engagement.
