Team Neural Nexus won first prize at the Lloyds IP and I Hackathon on Agentic AI, organised by Lloyds Banking Group at the Lloyds Technology Centre in India. The two-day hackathon, held on 10 and 11 December, brought together 31 teams, including four teams from IIIT Hyderabad and 27 internal teams from Lloyds, to address real-world business challenges in agentic AI and intelligent automation.
The winning team comprised Lokabhiram Chintada (MS by Research, ECE), Prit Kanadiya (MS by Research, CSE), Raman R (MS by Research, CSE), Naveen Mishra (M.Tech, CSE), and Shruti Dhasmana (B.Tech, ECE). The team developed an AI-driven system to automate and streamline the generation and compliance review of customer communication reports—an otherwise manual, time-consuming, and delay-prone process.
The solution integrates business compliance guidelines with both structured and unstructured customer data to generate clear, policy-aligned reports ready for customer communication. The system operates in two stages: an AI agent that autonomously processes raw data and generates insightful reports in alignment with internal policies, followed by a machine learning–based validation layer that verifies compliance before approval. Together, the pipeline offers a scalable and reliable balance between automation and oversight.
The team’s solution was recognised with a cash prize of INR 2.55 lakhs. Beyond technical learning in machine learning and agentic systems, the hackathon provided valuable exposure to designing responsible AI solutions that deliver tangible business impact.
The team expressed gratitude to Lloyds Banking Group for hosting the hackathon, Aritra Chakravarty for his guidance and insightful feedback, and Padmanayana B V for her coordination and support from IIIT Hyderabad. The experience highlighted the transformative potential of thoughtfully designed AI systems in enterprise settings.
