Dr. G K Goswami

Dr. G K Goswami, IPS, gave a talk on Legally Compliant Digital Security Architect: An Emerging Global Necessity on 10 September at KRB Auditorium. Here is the summary of the talk as explained by Dr. Goswami:

Cyber security, digital forensics, and data protection have become inseparable pillars of a resilient digital ecosystem in the modern hyperconnected world. With the exponential growth of Artificial Intelligence and the imminent advent of Quantum Computing, the challenges of securing data, ensuring accountability, and protecting individual rights are more complex than ever. My lecture will explore the intertwined concepts of cyber security, digital forensics, and evolving legal frameworks governing data protection in India and globally. I will also introduce my innovation: “Law with Labs” – a unique interdisciplinary model that emphasizes why technocrats must be equipped with a foundational understanding of law. This approach bridges technical acumen with legal foresight, empowering future innovators to design technologies that are secure, ethically compliant, and rights-based. The session aims to inspire students and researchers at IIIT Hyderabad to view technology not only as a solution but as a responsibility towards justice, privacy, and societal trust.
