Dr. Khaliq Parkar has joined the Human Sciences Research Center (HSRC) as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Khaliq Parkar obtained his Ph.D from the University of Paris Cité. His thesis work was on the digitalization of urban governance in India. His research interests lie at the intersection of governance, digitalization and urban studies. Prior to the Ph.D, he taught Political Science at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai; Symbiosis International University, Pune and NMIMS University, Mumbai. In addition to teaching, he has also worked as a research consultant with the UNFPA and the Centre for Policy Research, New Delhi. His academic and other writings have been published in Economic & Political Weekly, Indian Express, Caravan, and the journal SAMAJ. Apart from teaching and research, he enjoys dedicating time to photography and print-making.
