Dr. Anil Kumar Nelakanti has joined the Language Technologies Research Centre (LTRC)  as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Nelakanti was an applied scientist with Amazon working on search and information retrieval for their emerging and new marketplaces. He has worked on machine translation and text-to-speech systems for the digital entertainment industry, sponsored advertising, and reviewing mining for e-commerce. His doctoral thesis explored applying structured penalties for language modeling at INRIA Paris. He has completed his Bachelor with honors in Computer Science at IIIT Hyderabad, Master in Computer Science at Institut National Polytechnic de Grenoble, and INRIA Grenoble.
