Kumar Neelabh, working under the supervision of Dr. Vishnu Sreekumar, has been selected for the Mathematical Methods in Computational Neuroscience Summer School to be held at Eresfjord, Norway from 20 July to 5 August organised by the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). The competitive selection process for 25 seats was based partly on a summary of his ongoing master’s thesis which aims to describe and understand neural trajectories on low-dimensional manifolds during human learning. The offer includes a stipend to cover accommodation and food costs. 

The summer school aims to teach techniques from Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering to enable students to undertake advanced computational neuroscience research. The school features internationally renowned neuroscientists, including Dr. Peter Dayan who co-authored a book on Theoretical Neuroscience: Computational and Mathematical Modeling of Neural Systems with Abbott Laurence.
