Elections for UG2K19 and PG2K19 were held on 16 September. There were only 2 nominations for 3 seats allocated to PG2K19 and both the candidates were deemed elected unanimously. 

The UG2K19 elections were interesting and of the many first’s EC has seen in this election, some are listed below:

• A mock session was conducted with emphasis on “why, what and how” of voting.
• 13 candidates contested for 5 seats. Of which 3 were girl candidates.
• A record polling percentage compared to previous elections. Total votes polled – 233. 
• Total voters –  297. Overall 233/297 = 78.45%  (78.45%).
• A smooth, free and fair voting where the students were patient enough to wait for their turn.

Special shout out to UG2K19 students who came voluntarily in large numbers to vote. Hope to see same enthusiasm from this batch and the coming batches.
