On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary, the Cultural Wing of Student Life Committee (SLC) organized an event – Remembering Bapu: Father of the Nation on 28 September, that included keynote lectures, panel discussions and debates:

Keynote Lectures 

• The combined Gandhi Tagore vision and what to do with it today by  Prof. Sujit Sinha
  (Azim Premji University, Bangalore)

• My Life is My Message – An Interpretation by Prof. Nand Kishore Acharya
  (Sangeet Natak Academy Award Winner)

Panel Discussion

Prof. Sujit Sinha,  Prof. Nand Kishore Acharya, Prof. Harjinder Singh, Prof. Rajeev Sangal, Prof. Sandeep Pandey (TBC)  and Dr. Aniket Alam participated in the Panel discussion which was moderated by Dr. Nishad Patnaik.

Debate

Debate Club organized a debate on This House believes Nehruji was more influential in

India’s Independence than Gandhi.  Jury: Dr. Radhika Krishnan and Prof. Abhijit Mitra.
