Prof. Anoop Namboodiri  gave an invited talk at the Winter School on Biometrics held at Shenzhen, China from 21 – 25 January.

The theme this year was Trustworthy, Privacy-preserving and Safe Biometrics. Jointly organised by the Department of Computer Science, Hong Kong Baptist University, the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Southern University of Science and Technology, the course included lectures, hands-on sessions, talks from industry and social programmes. To consolidate the fundamental knowledge of biometrics and share the latest biometric development, the scope of the programme was designed to cover the topics which mainly included mobile biometrics, anti-spoofing, template protection, and fundamental of different biometric modalities.
