The Sports Committee and the Physical Education Center have established an Open Air Gymnasium beside the IIITH Basketball court. Equipements and stations available at Fitness Park include four wheel shoulder builder, air skyer, cross walker, rower, roman rings with twister, shoulder press, chest press, push & dip station, air walker, knee chair, abs shaper and monkey bar. A few benefits of an open air gym are:
- Gives more connectivity with nature and exercising with your body weight (no adding weights)
- Provides great relaxation benefits after a long day’s work
- Boosts immune systems, increases vitamin D, reduces depression, burns more calories, increases wind resistance and temperature regulation
- Fresh air helps for better flow of oxygen in lungs which helps in low blood pressure and heart rate, muscle and joint functioning and maintaining stamina
