Here is the summary of the talk in Dr. Siddartha Das’s words: We will discuss some of the problems that are of interest for quantum communication over a network. As quantum theory is a physical theory describing laws of nature (in microscopic regime at least), understanding physical phenomena from a quantum information-theoretic viewpoint is of fundamental interest. Quantum information theory also helps in determining how well we can harness constraints on physical processes and systems to devise information processing, communication, and computational tasks for application purposes.
