Dr. Nimmi Rangaswamy presented a paper on Constructing the Digital: Working from the Global South at the Association of Internet Researchers (AoIR)  conference held in Sheffield from 30 October to  2 November. The event was hosted by the University of Sheffield (TUoS) and Sheffield Hallam University (SHU).

The  research work on Constructing the Labour Digital: Datafication of and in the Global South, explored the forms and structures of digital labor, examining the precarity and consolidation of working conditions driven by the platform economy in urban India. Dr. Nimmi Rangaswamy also chaired a Panel on Constructing the Digital: Working from the Global South on 1 November.
