Faculty Work Retreat

November 2022

The annual faculty work retreat was held on 28 November at Oakwood Residence,  after a 3 year break due to Covid.  Every year after the last day of classes, faculty members spend the day away from campus, usually in a hotel and discuss at length on a single topic and have a fun time together. The theme of this year’s retreat was togetherness  – about doing  research and other professional activities together as a 100+ faculty institution.

In this year’s retreat every faculty member had to introduce themselves in an interesting way, covering enough about their background, professional interests, family, non-professional interests and more. After the introduction session, faculty members were divided into 10 groups for discussions for about 30 to 40 minutes followed by a 5 minute presentation by each group. This was followed by a panel discussion on – Unusual Research: How? Why? What? The retreat concluded with  various fun events, games and some entertainment.
