Prof. Anoop Namboodiri has been appointed as Dean of Faculty Affairs (DoFA). It is for a 2 year term, and can be  renewed for another 1 year first, and then for another 3 years. Prof. Anoop Namboodiri’s research areas are Pattern recognition, machine learning, computer vision, biometrics.

In this important role, Prof. Anoop Namboodiri will lead key institutional processes related to faculty scouting, selection, promotion, and welfare. He will also oversee annual reviews, feedback mechanisms, and faculty benefit frameworks, including health and well-being initiatives. His leadership will be central to strengthening IIITH’s academic community and supporting an environment where faculty can continue to excel in teaching, research, and institutional service.
